In this section you’ll find a selection of telecollaborative tasks for different knowledge fields.
Section 1:
BEGIN: A Virtual Exchange around Entrepreneurship
First of all, students complete different information exchange and comparison and analysis pre- tasks to get started and to know their Virtual Exchange partners in the project. Then, they move on to complete the main telecollaborative tasks: creating a new product/service/app and presenting it in the form of a digital story and an oral presentation. Finally, they complete different post-tasks aimed at concluding the project and fostering the assessment and reflection about the project.
Section 2:
Youth Entrepreneurship for Society (YES): A Virtual Exchange Project around Social Entrepreneurship
The first few activities which students complete revolve around different information exchange and comparison and analysis pre- tasks to get started and come to know their virtual exchange partners in the project. Then, they interview representatives from different organisations so as to identify the main challenges they face, by applying the problem-based learning methodology. Next, they will move on to complete the main telecollaborative tasks: presenting their solutions to the different social challenges in the form of a digital story and an oral presentation. Finally, students complete different post-tasks aimed at concluding the project and fostering the assessment and reflection about the project and they receive the feedback from the local organisations which have guided them throughout the process.

Section 3: iTECLA Forum Discussions (IFDI): A Virtual Exchange Project around Problem-based learning
The initial part of the project involves the completion of different information exchange and comparison and analysis pre- tasks to get started and come to know their Virtual Exchange partners in the project. Then, they discuss different social issues in the online forums together with their foreign partners. Next, you will get to know your partners In these discussions, they share their initial views and research outcomes on the different social issues dealt with. Once they have done that, they finish the discussion on the different topics and propose initiatives to face the different social challenges by following a problem-based methodology. After having discussed the issues and chosen the best possible solution, they have their 1st synchronous meeting with their foreign counterparts to plan their final report in which they will analyse all the solutions proposed and explain the main characteristics and strengths of the chosen solution. Finally, students present their solutions in the form of business pitches and write their investor’s report outlining the reasons why they would fund certain of their classmates’ ideas.

Section 4: Tourism TeleTeams (TTT): A Virtual Exchange Project around promotional products from the Tourism industry
First of all, students introduce themselves, get started and build up the community. Then, they complete the project’s main telecollaborative task: creating an innovative product within the Tourism industry. Finally, they reflect and evaluate their performance and output.

Section 5: PRAG-ME: A Virtual Exchange Project around
Pragmatics
The goal of this project is the development of students’ pragma-semantic competence. The project also aims to enhance their understanding of the current meaning of common words while improving their interpersonal communication.

Section 6: English Studies Intercultural Telecollaboration
Project (ESITP): A Virtual Exchange Project around Metadiscourse
The project’s goals are: 1) fostering the development of students’ socio-cultural competence in their target language (English) as well as in and their native language (Spanish-Catalan) by using metadicourse telecollaborative activities at higher education level.

Section 7: Resolution of social challenges through the methodologies of Problem Based Learning and Virtual Interaction (PBL-VI): A Translation Studies Virtual Exchange Project around Social Awareness
The project’s goals and target competences are:
– Development of students’ communicative and social competence in the English language (oral and written comprehension and expression)
– Development of the capacity for collaborative work toward the achievement of a common goal
– Development of students’ autonomy and responsibility for their own learning
– Promotion of critical thinking and research skills
– Promotion of problem-solving skills through the resolution of social challenges
– Curriculum enrichment of the Degree in Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation by fostering students’ motivation and their involvement in the learning process
